Richards hat-trick fires Highgate Dynamos into Premier Cup semis

RICARDO Richards hit a hat-trick for Highgate Dynamos who booked their place in the semi-finals of the Bromsgrove League Premier Cup with a 5-2 victory over Meadow Park.

Brett Fellows and Odane Barnes were also on target.

Adam Surplice bagged the only goal of the game in Avenue’s narrow win at AFC Northfield to secure a spot in the last four of the Division One Cup.

Callum Greggory, Lewis McPike, TJ Mendez and Brogan Halpin were on the scoresheet in Rubery United’s 4-1 victory over Wychbold RBL in the second round of the WA Harris Cup while Bromsgrove Athletico beat Pilkington Sunday 5-4 on penalties after the two sides were locked at 2-2 after 90 minutes.




Arrow Valley reached the final of the Bromsgrove Charity Cup after downing Chaddesley Pensioners 5-3, thanks to goals from Garry Harvey (2), James Priddle, Paul Halfpenny and Daniel Montgomery.

There was disappointment for Austin Ex Apprentices who bowed out of the Roger Wood Memorial Cup at the semi-final stage after losing 7-6 on penalties to Emerald Athletic.


The match finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Hawthorns also narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the Worcestershire FA Junior Cup after succumbing to a 5-3 home defeat to Bretforton Old Boys.

In the Presidents Cup group stages, Redditch Borough thumped Millfield Rovers 15-0 while Meadow Park Youth eased past AFC Norton 6-1.

BGIS Fairfield came from behind to run out 6-1 winners at Chaddesley Corbett in the Premier Division.

Carl Martin (3), Scott Smith, James Perry and Connor Collins were on target for the visitors.

Division Two leaders Rubery Sunday Juniors were brought down to Earth after losing 6-1 at home to mid-table Bromsgrove Corinthians.

Mike Price was the Corinthians hero with a hat-trick while Mitch Wrenn, Tommy Thompson and an own goal added to the total.

Chaddesley Ravens edged past Spa Athletic 2-1 while Awkies Allstars won by a similar scoreline at home to Redditch United Sunday.

In Division Three, second placed Kings Norton Sporting were involved in a seven-goal thriller against Cofton Old Boys, coming out on the right side of a 4-3 scoreline.

Chris Heath (2), Dale Volrath and Kieran Pace scored for Sporting.

Ryan Wood (2), Tom Brady and Josh Tisdall were on target in Royal Eagles’ 4-1 win over Rubery Legends while Crown Athletic enjoyed a 3-1 success at Hewell.

Elsewhere, Stoke Prior downed Bromsgrove Raiders 2-0 in the sole Division Four clash.
