Ravens taught a lesson by Coventry Dragons

AN IMPRESSIVE Coventry Dragons side showed no mercy to visitors North East Worcestershire Ravens who suffered a 98-4 Midlands Rugby League South defeat on Saturday.

Fresh from their victory over South Birmingham Hawks the previous weekend, Ravens headed to Coventry in good spirits, but had just 14 players compared to 20 from their previous outing and the visitors knew this was always going to be an uphill challenge.

Ravens conceded tries in the third and sixth minutes before putting in some strong defensive work for the next ten minutes.

Eventually Ravens fought back and crossed the line in the corner as Jake Harley-Yeadon scored his first try for the club having only made his debut the previous weekend.

However, it was one-way traffic from them on as Ravens struggled to cope with their vastly experienced hosts.

Ravens stood up tall but simply had no answer and they will look to bounce back when they visit Telford Raiders on Saturday.

Both sides currently have four points from five matches.
