BROMSGROVE’S director of rugby Dan Protherough will once again be giving youth players some minutes at Lydney in the final National Three South West fixture of the season.
The Boars travel to Gloucestershire on Saturday hoping to end the campaign on a positive note having been stuck at the foot of the table all year.
And with preparations well underway for a return to the Midlands league next season, Protherough is calling on his young players to shine once more this weekend.
Matt Sprigg, Sam Montieri, Matt Tranter and Ethan Priest are to be called up for the Boars who are without Ollie Bache (holiday).
“Four of our pack will be under the age of 23 which is good for the future,” Protherough said.
“It would be nice to get a win this weekend as it would help us go into the summer in the right direction.
“I will want the lads to put in 100 per cent commitment and effort like they have done all season and hopefully we will get the rub of the green.
“The lads trained really well on Tuesday night and put in a good shift after having the week off.”
Bromsgrove were last in action a fortnight ago when they suffered a 21-17 defeat to Brixham at Finstall Park.
