Perry becomes Rouslers' sixth summer signing

Bromsgrove Editorial 27th Jun, 2019   0

SPORTING manager Brendan Kelly has secured his sixth summer signing, bringing in striker Kyle Perry.

The 33-year old is well travelled across the non-league pyramid, turning out for Mansfield Town and Lincoln City during their National League days, and playing for Port Vale in League Two ten years previously.

Perry is familiar to the Southern Premier League Central, having played the majority of last season for Coalville Town, before helping Ilkeston Town get over the line with their push for the MFL Premier Division title.

Upon sealing the move, the new Rouslers man said he feels that he can help Bromsgrove have another successful season in 2019/20.

“I’m delighted to be signing for Bromsgrove Sporting for the coming season,” he said.

“For me, Bromsgrove is a huge football club at this level, and I’m excited to be a part of the set up that has achieved so much in recent years.

“I can’t wait to get started and help the club push on.

“I’m still as hungry and as passionate as ever for success and I feel Bren and the lads at the club are in a great position to push on.”

Kelly believes Perry can provide a different option up front for the Rouslers and make an immediate impact.

“Kyle is a proven goalscorer and a very well respected striker – he will add another dimension to our squad and I’ve no doubt we will need his physical presence in this physically demanding division,” he said.

“I’m very pleased he chose Sporting from his various offers, he’s another lad with bag loads of experience, on and off the field, which will help us a lot.”
