OLD Bromsgrovians Netball Club opened their Worcester Netball League Premier Division campaign with a comprehensive 60-21 win against BJ Dappers at Tudor Grange.
A high-scoring start to the club’s Summer League campaign was achieved thanks to an efficient performance from Bromsgrove – who controlled the game and never looked likely to relinquish their lead.
The Bromsgrovians lined up with Kate Oliver – later named player of the match, and Celina Godwin in attack, whilst Bea Lee, Brogan Adams and Laura Wright formed a centre court trio.
Becky Alton and Maisie Cook partnered each other in defence and restricted the chances afforded to the visitors.
The club next host Zodiac on Monday (7pm), who lost their opener 44-38 against Zodiac Supernova.
Old Bromsgrovians are always on the lookout for new players, and urge anyone interested in joining the tean to get in touch via the club’s Facebook page – “OB Netball (Bromsgrove)”.
