NEW boys Highgate Dynamos and Austin Ex Apprentices got their Bromsgrove League Premier Division campaigns off to a flying start at the weekend.
Dynamos secured a 4-2 victory over BGIS Fairfield, thanks to goals from Orrin Pendley (2), Ricardo Richards and Adam Heath, while Austin beat old rivals Black Horse 4-0.
Josh Westwood (2), Liam Spink and Richard Deeming were on target in the win.
Pilkington Sunday also enjoyed opening day success as Junior Hewitt’s hat-trick fired them to a 3-1 win at Chaddesley Corbett.
Aaron Stephens bagged all five goals for Wychbold RBL who enjoyed a 5-2 victory at Quinton Athletic in Division One.
There was also a treble for Sporting Club Redditch’s Joe Shaw in the 4-1 defeat of Bromsgrove Athletico while AFC Northfield also got off to a good start with a 3-1 win over The Hawthorns.
Aaron Westwood (2) and debutant Callum Debar bagged the goals for Northfield.
Meanwhile, Sporting Grapevine trounced Norton Athletic 7-0 with the help of Jack Steele’s hat-trick and Rory Milbourne’s double.
Luke Hancock and Shaun Tierney also netted.
Ben Eillicott claimed a hat-trick for Studley Lions who started Division Two on a high with a 5-2 victory over Chaddesley Raves.
Josh Green and Tommy Blewett completed Lions’ scoring.
Harry Nicholls and Scott Young were on target in Hizza United’s 2-0 victory at Spa Athletic while Winyates edged out Bromsgrove Corinthians 3-2.
Hewell opened their Division Three account with a 3-1 victory over Rubery Legends.
Jay Wright and Jay Russell bagged braces in Arrow Valley’s 7-1 rout at Royal Eagles while Steve Joynes (2), Mark Cooke (2), Jack Roome and Andy Dawson guided Cofton Old Boys to a 6-1 victory over Lickey End Social.
Elsewhere, in the sole Division Four fixture, Bromsgrove Academicals enjoyed a 5-0 victory over Stoke Prior.
Nick Baker (2), Jake Exley (2) and Ryan Eves got themselves on the scoresheet.
