ARMAN Khoshkoo’s hat-trick downed Fairfield Villa and condemned Keith Draper’s men to a fifth defeat in Midland Football League Division Two.
The Swans were always in for a tough task against the league leaders but looked good value for a 15th-minute lead through Dan Ludlow.
An equaliser before half time ultimately proved Fairfield’s downfall, setting up for a one-sided second half in which the Academy completed a turnaround.
Draper’s side stunted the unbeaten leaders and were rewarded for sticking to their game plan when Ludlow drove inside and let fly with a long-range strike that nestled in the corner.
With two minutes before the break, a set-piece delivery half-punched out by Villa keeper Elliott Hart was drilled into the net by Khoshkoo.
Moor Green assumed the upper hand and went ahead from the penalty spot, after Chris Hill’s half-clearance impeded Khoshkoo inside the area.
Substitute Ron Adjei clattered a shot against the post, the closest the hosts came to restoring parity.
Khoshkoo sealed his hat-trick in the third minute of stoppage time, just before Ryan Andrews saw red for the visitors.
Fairfield sit in 11th and visit 14th-placed side Bolehall Swifts on Saturday (3pm).
