INSIDE VIEW - Robbie Bunn's Bromsgrove Sporting column

Bromsgrove Sporting midfielder Robbie Bunn writes for The Standard in his weekly column and reflects on the 3-0 victory at Shawbury United.

SATURDAY’S result against Shawbury was brilliant for us.

In sticky conditions and against a very awkward style of opposition, I thought we carried out the game plan very well and got a very well-deserved three points.

We knew Shawbury had picked up some very decent results of late and after seeing the state of the pitch during the warm-up, we knew we were not going to be popping the ball around and playing the most attractive of football.

So the gaffer changed the plan a little bit and asked us to be moving the ball forward as quickly as possible.

The plan worked for the majority of the game and if truth be told we should have had a few more goals than we claimed in the end.

It was Gregs (Richard Gregory) again who opened the scoring with a great piece of skill and a good finish from close range.

The goal lifted us and we were pushing forward again and again but were unfortunate to have a few chances hit the woodwork or saved by the keeper.

It was Gregs again who found the touch needed to extend the lead when again he had defenders falling at his feet and provided another brilliant finish.

Holty (Liam Holt) finished off the scoring with a decent enough strike from around 25 yards which the keeper could only parry into his net – 3-0, three points and game over.
