Inside View makes a welcome return this week with Bromsgrove Sporting skipper Craig Jones writing for the Standard ahead of the new season starting on Saturday.
PRE-SEASON is done and dusted and now it’s time for the real business to start.
This season will be my seventh in a Bromsgrove shirt and the sixth consecutive season I’ve turned out at the Vic.
It’s hard to remember being part of a stronger squad, with the management adding some real quality to the double winning lads we already had on board.
I’ve never been a massive fan of pre-season, but it’s a good chance to test yourself against different teams and like we’ve done, teams from levels above.
These tests will stand us in good stead for the season ahead and it was great to finish on a winning note against a team at our level in Evesham on Saturday.
Starting Saturday at the highest level Sporting have been at since their inception, it’s important we all stick together and work hard as one unit.
That goes for the players, management staff, backroom staff and fans alike.
There will be ups and downs undoubtedly, but let’s enjoy this journey together.
