Hayward makes Sporting return

BROMSGROVE Sporting have agreed terms with Nathan Hayward for next season and he will return to the club after a brief sojourn at Stourbridge earlier this year.

Manager Brendan Kelly is delighted by the deal and said: “I think deep down both Nathan and I knew he would always return.

“He was outstanding for us in his debut season and he was my player of the season during the campaign when we won promotion from Southern League Division One Central.

“It was a turbulent start to life playing at the higher level of Southern League Premier and we parted company but he is back now and I’m excited to work with him again.

“Nath felt at home whilst he was with us and he’s extremely keen to be wearing the Rouslers shirt again. He knows the staff and players already so he will settle in quickly and be a huge asset for us.”

Hayward is thrilled to be back at the Victoria Ground and sent the following message to fans: “I’m very happy to be back at Bromsgrove Sporting.

“The past is the past and I am now looking forward to being where I feel at home and look forward playing under Brendan and Andy Mason (assistant manager) again.

“I would like to thank Stourbridge, especially chairman Andy Pountney, for being a great club and their fans for my time there, but I feel I made a home at Bromsgrove and look forward to kicking-off where I left in front of the mighty Rouslers faithful.”

Sporting have also made the draw for their second Sporting Chance Lottery. Winning the first prize of £300 this month is regular supporter Chris McKeon, whilst second prize goes to the Supporters’ Society secretary Victor Agüera, who has donated his winnings back to the club.

In third place is Andy Clarke who won the main prize last month.
