SAM JONES claimed gold in both the under-15 boys 60m and 200m sprints at the Midland Counties Athletic Association Indoor Championships.
Sam, 14, who lives in Fairfield and is a pupil at North Bromsgrove High School, performed exceptionally well to claim two first places at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.
The Halesowen Athletics Club member took gold in the 60m final with a person best time of 7.52 seconds.
He then followed that up with another personal best of 23.6 seconds in the 200m final.
The Midland Counties Championships attracted over 400 athletes from across 10 counties, all coming together to compete in a variety of indoor track and field events.
