FAIRFIELD Villa’s six-game winning run in all competitions was brought to an end on Tuesday after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Midland League Division Two promotion hopefuls Montpellier.
Rueban Wilson had given Fairfield a 17th-minute lead but Jemuel Wills levelled from the penalty spot with little under ten minutes remaining.
However, Connor Collins netted within a matter of moments to seemingly secure all three points for the visitors.
But the drama was far from over when Jacob Snape fired home two minutes later to salvage a point for Montpellier.
Fairfield welcome Knowle to the Recreation Ground on Saturday followed by a trip to Droitwich Spa on Wednesday.
