Chaddesley Corbett run riot against Bromsgrove Raiders to secure WA Harris Cup progress

CHADDESLEY Corbett notched up double figures to book their place in the next round of the Bromsgrove League WA Harris Cup with an emphatic 13-0 victory over Bromsgrove Raiders.

Will Tibbetts led the way with a hat-trick while Lewis Clarke (2), Andy Innes (2), Josh Cowdell-Jones (2), Ricky Cowdell, Al Emery, Chris Mitchell and Ryan Moore were also on target.

In a nine-goal thriller in Group B of the Bromsgrove & Redditch Standard Shield, Avenue FC edged past Hawthorns FC 5-4.

David Delaney (2), Joe Haines, Jamie Molyneux and an own-goal were on the scoresheet for Avenue.




Meanwhile, in Group A, Tom Keogh bagged a hat-trick for Bromsgrove Athletico who secured a 4-3 success at Wychbold RBL.

Adam Doupe’s goal was enough for Rubery Legends to beat Crown Athletic in Group A of the Bridgwater Cup.


Lickey End Social moved to the summit of Group B with a 5-1 victory over Chaddesley Pensioners.

Jason Gibbons bagged four goals as Gruop C leaders Awkies Allstars thumped Stoke Prior 8-0.

Mike Wakeman (2), Ash Tullett and Chris McGrory were also on target.

Arrow Valley cemented top spot in Group D with a 4-1 victory over Cofton Old Boys but Bromsgrove Corinthians remain hot on their heels following their 5-1 win at Redditch Borough.

Kings Norton Sporting booked their place in the first round of the Rose Bowl after beating Royal Eagles 6-2 while Highgate Dynamos needed penalties to secure victory over BGIS Fairfield in the Premier Cup.

After a goalless 90 minutes, Dynamos shined in the spot-kicks where they won 3-0.

Elsewhere, Studley Lions are through to the second round of the Worcester Nursing Minor Cup following their 6-1 success at Freemasons Arms, thanks to goals from Marc Jovanovic (2), Nick Briggs, Jamie Hatfield, Chris Hands and Sam Smith.
