Chaddesley Ravens off to flying start in new Bromsgrove League season

CHADDESLEY Ravens are the early pacesetters in Division One of the Bromsgrove League after they trounced Arrow Valley 12-1.

Will Tibbetts led the way with four goals while Dan Willetts (2), Ryan Moore (2), Jake Smith, Jay Paradise, Max Holland and Paul Bond completed Ravens’ scoring.

Harry Nicholls bagged a hat-trick in Hizza United’s narrow 4-3 victory over Winyates.

Jordan Street was also on the scoresheet for United while Danny Murphy (2) and Jordan Porter were on target for Winyates.




There was one other game in the division where Bartley Green Owls enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Bromsgrove Corinthians, thanks to goals from Ryan Spink and Bill Neath.

Elsewhere Kings Heath Albion won 2-1 away to Bromsgrove Athletico.


Rubery Legends are up and running in Division Two after they ran out 5-2 winners over South Birmingham.

Jake Booton (3), Jahmel Trevis and Josh Cattell netted for United.

Sam Bennett (2), Tom Hawkins Daniel and Jamie Rooney were on target in Studley Sawn’s 4-1 victory over Redditch Borough A.

Cofton Old Boys and Broughsons shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, Longbridge Social downed SHTP 2-0 while Quinton Athletic edged past Lickey End Social 1-0.

Matt Cahalane bagged the 88th-minute winner for Athletic.

Hewell got their Division Three campaign off to the perfect start as they came from 3-0 down to thrash AFC Norton 11-4.

Connor Chipman (3) and Ollie Jones scored for Norton.

Chris Adams and Jamie Denham bagged hat-tricks in SO Goose’s 8-2 victory over Millfield Rovers.

In a six-goal thriller at Droitwich Leisure Centre, Royal Eagles and Bromsgrove Academicals shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

Ryan Wood (2) and Callum Blakeney netted for Eagles.

Redditch Borough Sunday enjoyed a 3-0 victory over Stoke Prior, thanks to goals from Shaquille Lakin (2) and Charley Hood, while British Memorial drew 1-1 with Catshill.
