BROMSGROVE School’s U16 girls team finished as runners-up in the regional final of the National Schools’ competition at Tipton Sports Academy.

It was the first time in history a Bromsgrove School team had reach the regional finals.

Prior to then, the team had been involved in a summer tournament where they beat King’s School Worcester, Malvern College and Malvern St James.

Tennis coach Sally Franks said: “They are a fantastic group of players, who all train with commitment throughout the winter months and we are thrilled they have done so well against the best young players in the country.”
