MITCHELL WISE is celebrating after making a big splash with the wakeboard on the European and world stage.
Having won the Junior Men’s category of the National Wakeboarding Championships at Tattersall Lakes Country Park in Lincolnshire, the Year 12 Bromsgrove School student used his success as a springboard to compete at the WWA World Championships in Toronto, Canada.
After a tough semi-final where he fell twice, Wise managed to secure his place in the final where he took third in the Junior Men’s category.
His success in Canada came after he was selected to represent the UK at the European Championships in Riga, Latvia, where he picked up a bronze medal.
It was his performances in Riga which resulted in company Malibu Boats sponsoring and funding Wise for his trip to the World Championships.
