BUDDING cricketer Jasper Davidson has helped Scotland secure their place at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup next year, after achieving qualification.
The Bromsgrove School pupil was part of the 14-man squad that came out on top in Division One of European Regional Qualifying, seeing off Ireland, Jersey, Netherlands, Denmark and France to remain unbeaten in their five qualification games.
As a result, Scotland clinched the only other available European spot at next year’s tournament, which takes place between January 17 to February 9, to complete the 16-team lineup.
Jasper played a key role in Scotland’s qualification, scoring 217 runs, averaging 54.5 runs per game and taking seven wickets, and was awarded the Top All Rounder in Division One.
