BROMSGROVE Mixed C maintained their promotion challenge in Division Four East of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Summer League with a 3-1 win over Worcester E.
Voitek Niedzwiedz with Di Inchley proved too strong for both opposition pairs as they cruised to two sets victories in both rubbers.
Connie Wedelich with Tim Roland started well with another two-set win but came unstuck in their final rubber.
The win means they closed in on the division leaders.
With matches in hand, back-to-back promotions look a possibility after their success last year.
Meanwhile, the Men’s D team thumped Belbroughton B 6-0 in Division Five East and dropped just one set.
It was a winning return for Jack Walters playing his first match of the season.
Teaming up with Pete Morris at first pair, they had two straightforward wins.
Jim Round with captain Dan Andrews also won both encounters without dropping a set.
Stuart Shannon with George Rogers opened well, winning in two sets.
However, they had to fight back in their next rubber after dropping the opening set to win in three sets.
