BROMSGROVE A finished second in Division One of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Summer League, after signing off with a 12-2 win again Manor Park B on Wednesday.

Worcester A narrowly won the title on 70 points, six ahead of second-placed Bromsgrove, despite the latter’s dominant victory.

Elsewhere in the division, Droitwich Spa A edged Stourbridge A 10-4 to finish sixth.

Stourbridge led the tie overall after Jason Donoghue and Alex Meintjes’ victory over Benedict Buckley and Mark Jones 6-4, 6-4, but Bromsgrove hit back in the final three matches to win.
