BARTLEY Green Sunday reached the LMS Shield final after securing a 3-1 victory over Alcester Town.

Goals from Connor Collins (2) and Dan Lawrence ensured Bartley progressed to the final where they will meet VBG Fairfield on Sunday, March 20.

The other LMS Shield game came in a ‘dead rubber’ Group A game as Spa Athletic claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bromsgrove United.

Hizza United booked their place in the semi-finals of the Centenary Cup after edging past Chaps United 4-3 thanks to goals from Ben Ford, Josh Bowen, Aaron Clayton and Martin Young.




VBG Fairfield are into round three of the Evesham Hospital Cup following a narrow 2-1 victory over Thomas Brothers.

Richard Bishop and James Wells netted for Fairfield; Stuart Hall for Brothers.


Meadow Park booked their place in the second round of the WA Harris Cup with a 2-1 victory over Stoke Sporting courtesy of Craig Barnett and Sean Chance.

Peter Warman replied for Sporting.

Meanwhile, Belbroughton Athletic progressed into the third round of the WA Harris Cup following a 1-0 victory over GLA.

In the Bromsgrove & District League Premier Division, Lickey End Social’s chances of survival were boosted after they romped to a 4-1 victory over basement club The Grove.

Sam Wright netted a brace for Lickey, with Rory Tuffin and Alex Short completing their scoring.

The other game in the division saw a rare 0-0 as Rubery Athletic and WCT Youth Raiders shared the spoils.

In Division One, a top of the table clash saw league leaders Northfield Athletic succumb to their first defeat of the season after losing 2-1 at home to second place Conway Albion.

Matt Jordan and Joel Francis netted Albion’s goals; Joshua Moore for Athletic.

Wychbold RBL moved up to seventh after winning by a similar scoreline at Chaddesley Corbett thanks to goals from Thomas Pugh and Bradley Talbot.

LPR are the new leaders in Division Two after claiming a 4-0 victory over Bromsgrove Brental.

Hewell were the biggest winners of the weekend following an 11-0 rout at Woodgate Valley.

In a seven-goal thriller down at Henley Forest, Sporting Club Redditch edged past bottom of the table outfit Bridgfield 4-3.

Joseph Shaw netted twice with Ryan Field and Steven Rainbow also getting on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere, Awkies Allstars needed a strike from Arron Tullett to claim a 1-0 victory over Rubery Juniors.

Division Three leaders Rubery lost their first game of the season as they were narrowly beaten 4-3 by a stubborn Callowbrook Green side.

Two goals from leading scorer James Ward and one apiece for Oliver Walls and Jack Steele ensured Callowbrook snatched the victory.

Bromsgrove Corinthians were also on the right end of a 4-3 scoreline as they edged past AFC Millfields thanks to a brace from Tom Mason, single from Alex Beck and an own-goal.

The other game in the division saw FC Bromsgrove romp to a 6-1 victory over Stoke Prior with Joe Hawkins and Anthony Bate starring as the pair each bagged braces.

Jamie Dorgan and James Robinson also got on the scoresheet for Bromsgrove.
