BROMSGROVE A furthered their chances of finishing in the top two with a 10-4 victory over Worcester A in Women’s Division One of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Summer League.
The duo of Sally Franks and Katherine Smedley got proceedings underway for the visitors, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 against Worcester pairing Caron Crawford and Amelia Short, though Gemma Calthorpe and Rebecca Smith were on the wrong end of a 6-2, 6-0 scoreline in match two.

But Bromsgrove took control of the tie and saw out the match with two victories in the final two matches, winning 6-3, 6-1 through Franks and Smedley, before Calthorpe and Smith claimed a 6-3, 6-3 win to round off the tie.
