Briggs nets in tenth consecutive game as Studley Lions maintain unbeaten league run

STUDLEY Lions maintained their 100 per cent winning record in Division Two of the Bromsgrove & District League after cruising to a 6-2 victory over Bromsgrove Corinthians.

Marc Jovanovic bagged a brace with Nick Briggs, Thomas Blewett, Chris Hands and Ben Ellicott also netting as second-placed Lions made it five wins out of five.

There was one other game in the division where Chaddesley Ravens got the better of league leaders Hizza United 7-4, thanks to goals from Daniel Weston (2), Will Tibbetts (2), Josh Anstey, Daniel Bullock and Oliver Berry.

Martin Young, Ashley Parker, Jordy Wells and Harry Nicholls were on target for United.




There was also one game in Division Three where Kings Norton Sporting edged out Chaddesley Pensioners 4-3 to claim their first league win of the campaign.

Elsewhere, Redditch Borough bowed out of the Birmingham FA Amateur Cup at the third round stage after losing 3-0 at Olton Orient.
