Black Horse, Austin and Hawthorns keep up 100 per cent starts

BLACK Horse, Austin Ex Apprentices and Hawthorns all maintained their 100 per cent winning records in Bromsgrove League Division One at the weekend.

Black Horse top the table following their 4-0 victory over Winyates, thanks to goals from Ricardo Richards (2), Odane Barnes and Jack Wilson.

Austin sit in second after they got the better of Kings Heath Albion 4-3.

Brad Bullimore (2), Carl Martin and Alex Dugmore were on target for Austin.




Meanwhile, Hawthorns edged out Bromsgrove Corinthians 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller at Elmden Road.

Rubery Sunday Juniors bagged their first three points of the season with a 3-1 victory over Bartley Green Owls, thanks to Ty Isaac’s brace and strike from Cameron Jones.


Elsewhere, Bromsgrove Corinthians eased to a 4-0 victory over Hizza United.

Tom Keogh (2), Joe Buckley and Sean Farrell were on the scoresheet for Corinthians.

Broughsons remain top of the Division Two table following their 3-1 victory away at Redditch Borough A, thanks to goals from Kyran Field (2) and Billy Garvey.

Rubery Legends sit in a close second after they claimed a 4-1 victory over Studley Sawn.

Jake Booton (2), Jahmel Trevis and Josh Cattell with the goals for Legends.

Kieran Pace, Dale Volrath and Paul Heath were on the scoresheet in Solihull Moors’ 3-1 victory over Quinton Athletic.

Longbridge Social enjoyed a 5-0 victory away at Chaddesley Pensioners, Cofton Old Boys downed SHTP 6-3 while Meadow Park Youth scraped past South Birmingham 2-1.

There seems to be no stopping Hewell in Division Three as they made it five wins out five with an emphatic 10-3 victory over British Memorial.

Catshill are the only other unbeaten team in the division as they picked up their second win in three games with a 4-2 victory over Bromsgrove Academicals, thanks to goals from Luke Rowlands (2), Nick Baker and Lewis Smith.

Bartley Reds Sunday dropped their first points of the season after they were beaten 1-0 at Royal Eagles.

Shane Obode bagged the only goal of the game.

Jack Brimmell claimed a hat-trick in Redditch United Sunday’s 7-0 thrashing of AFC Norton.

James Priddle (2), Jack Parsons and Chris Stringer were also on target.

SO Goose enjoyed a 5-2 victory over Redditch Borough Sunday while Millfield Rovers and Stoke Prior shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Ash Roland and Shaun Nash netted for Rovers while Mike Bishop and Kyle Layton scored for Prior.
