FREDDIE DRAYCOTT will represent England at the Wadokai Karate World Championships in Leicester this August.
This will be the first time the championships have taken place outside of Japan.
Draycott, a student at Bromsgrove School, began training with Kombat Kids at the age of five.
His training still takes place at his home in Barnt Green as well as training three times a week in Walsall.
There will be 650 athletes competing at the championships from around the world, including a huge squad from Japan and North America.
Draycott is one of the few athletes selected to compete in both Kata and Kumite.
