Austin Ex Apprentices ease into next round of county cup

AUSTIN Ex Apprentices breezed into the next round of the Birmingham FA Premier Cup with an emphatic 12-0 victory over Horizon Athletic.

Daniel Lawrence led the way with four goals while Alex Dugmore and Carl Martin bagged a hat-trick each.

Reece Ward and Lewis McPike completed the scoring.

Black Horse also progressed into the next round after they strolled to a 9-0 away win at Castle Bromwich Athletic.

There were plenty of goals in the Worcester Nursing Minor Cup as AFC Norton thrashed AFC Brickfields 11-0.


Luke Hancock and Jason Timmington bagged trebles while Jordan Conway (2), Connor Chipman and Oliver Jones were also on target.

Hawthorns booked their place in the next round of the Bromsgrove Charity Cup with a 5-1 victory over Bartley Green Owls, thanks to goals from James Ward (3), Sam Brownhill and Ben Markall.

In the Worcestershire FA Junior Cup, Solihull Moors Sunday eased to a 4-0 victory at Lower Teme & Martley Athletic while Cofton Old Boys enjoyed a 5-0 over PT Eagles.

Redditch Borough Sunday also progressed after they downed Droitwich Spa Eagles 2-0 but there was disappointment for Meadow Park Youth who slumped to a 4-0 defeat to Inkberrow Sunday.

Chaddesley Ravens moved up to second in Bromsgrove League Division One following their 2-0 win away to Hizza United.

Will Tibbetts and Connor O’Reilly bagged the goals.

Meanwhile, Bromsgrove Corinthians edged out Kings Heath Albion 3-2, thanks to goals from Dean Palmer, Michael Price and Robbie Johnson.

Studley Swan cemented top spot in Division Two with a 4-2 victory over Broughsons.

Shane Hancox bagged a brace for Studley with Matt Chambers and Chris Bryant completing their scoring.

Longbridge Social moved up to second following their 6-0 demolition of Chaddesley Pensioners with the help of four goals from Dominic Strevens.

Division Three leaders Hewell extended their unbeaten run to eight games with a 4-1 victory over Stoke Prior.

Bromsgrove Academicals went goal crazy as they thrashed Redditch Borough Sunday 14-0.

Paul Badger (4), Paul Halfpenny (4), Robbie Bunn (3), Robert Hurlbutt, Adam Laight and Miles Wyatt with the goals.

SO Goose secured a 6-2 win at Redditch United Sunday, Royal Eagles downed Catshill 4-0 while Bartley Reds Sunday edged out Millfield Rovers 1-0.
