Arrow Valley crowned Rose Bowl champions

ARROW Valley are Bromsgrove and District League Rose Bowl champions following their 2-0 victory over Chaddesley Corbett Reserves.

Reece Miles had given Valley a 19th-minute lead before he netted again nine minutes into the second half to secure the cup win in front of a 285 strong crowd at Bromsgrove Sporting’s Victoria Ground.

Bartley Green Illey Sunday are through to the Bromsgrove & Redditch Standard Shield after they edged past Chaddesley Corbett’s first team 4-3.

Colin Tandy, Alex Dugmore, Connor Collins and Myles Newman were on target for BGIS.




Braces from Liam Molesworth and Nick O’Connell fired Premier Division leaders Meadow Park to a 7-2 victory over Belbroughton Athletic while Joe Adams and Brad Birch netted doubles in Black Horse’s 6-0 win at Pilkington Sunday.

Rubery Athletic and Millfield Rovers shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.


Shane Kelly and James Ward put Rovers 2-0 up before Adam Pillinger and Andy Court rescued a point for the hosts.

Bromsgrove Athletico moved to the summit of Division One with a 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten Rubery thanks to goals from Jay Woolridge and Sam Wright while FC Highgate United beat Quinton Athletic 3-1.

The other game in the division saw Wychbold RBL edge past Oak Tree Sporting 3-2.

Division Two leaders Sporting Club Redditch were held to a 2-2 draw by in-form Winyates.

Jack O’Donnell (2), Jack Garghan (2) and Jake Wicketts guided Redditch United Sunday to a 5-0 win over Hewell, AFC Northfield beat Akies Allstars 4-2 while Hizza United ran out 5-3 winners at Callowbrook Swifts Green.

Elsewhere, Jamie Hatfield, Nick Briggs and Marc Jovanovic were on target in Studley Lions’ 3-0 defeat of Spa Athletic.

Bromsgrove Corinthians picked up a 4-3 victory over Division Three leaders Stoke Works whose scorers were Paul Halfpenny (2) and Paul Badger.

Four goals from Colin Rudge and treble from Xavier Symonds guided Meadow Park Youth to an emphatic 11-2 win at Millfield Rovers Reserves.

Elliott Newton (2), John Hewitt and George Brighton also netted for Park.

Cofton Old Boys won 3-2 at Rubery Legends while basement club Stoke Prior were thumped 6-0 at Bromsgrove Academicals.

Nick Baker (2), Joe McCarthy (2), Jake Exley and Martin Bonnar scored for the hosts.
