A YOUNG Aston Villa fan from Bromsgrove lived his dream on Saturday when he walked out on to the pitch at Wembley Stadium with England legend and Villa skipper John Terry.

Haydn Farnell, nine, had the opportunity to walk out with the players for the Championship Play-Off final after winning a competition on Aston Villa’s Twitter.

He wore his full Villa kit to the game and enjoyed every moment of the day, minus the result, which was a 1-0 defeat to Fulham FC.

His dad managed to take a pictures of Haydn posing around Villa Park and with a few famous footballers.

Toni-Anne Farnell, Haydn’s mom, said: “His dad took him to the game and I watched at home on TV. Haydn is a very quiet, reserved little lad and I was worried that he would panic listening to the screaming crowd.

“I was so nervous watching him but as soon as he came out the tunnel I was fine because he looked so calm and relaxed. I was really able to enjoy the moment then.

“Jack Grealish asked Haydn if he was okay and gave him a high-five. As you can probably imagine, Haydn has treasured this moment and will be telling his friends for a long time.”

Haydn’s football team Catshill under 10’s, an FA chartered football club, are currently looking for sponsors.
