WOODRUSH High School’s sixth form students are jumping for joy after receiving their A-level results.
The school received a 100 per cent pass rate as well as almost 70 per cent of pupils achieving a grade of B or above.
A special mention was given to Lucy Freer, who achieved an AAB and will be studying Bioengineering at Loughborough, as well as Alexander Rousianos who received BBA* and is studying Law at Manchester university.
Another mention was given to Shannon Thompson-Parry who will attend Newcastle university to pursue Japanese studies with results of an AAB and distinction*, as well as Thomas Brown who will be studying History at Birmingham university with achieving grades AAB.
The school is delighted that so many students have secured their first-choice university place, apprenticeship position or employment.
