A WOMAN has died after her car crashed into a tree in Wythall this morning.

At 9.20am today (Wednesday), a passer-by came across the collision on Hill Lane and stopped to help.

Two ambulances, a BASICS doctor, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor on board attended the scene.

West Mercia Police were also in attendance.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival, ambulance staff found a member of the public performing CPR on the woman.

“Staff and medics took over resuscitation efforts and commenced advanced life support at the roadside.

“Despite the best efforts of the passer-by and ambulance staff it was not possible to save the woman and she was confirmed dead on scene.”
