Will you be signing up to the Primrose Hospice's Santa Fun Run?

FATHER Christmases will once again be pounding the streets for a good ‘claus’ next month.

This year’s Santa Fun Run, in aid of the Primrose Hospice, will take place on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6.

It has undergone a few changes this year to make sure residents across Redditch, Bromsgrove and Droitwich remain safe.

They can choose to either run, jog or walk 5k or 10k alone or in their household bubbles.

Lucy Perkins, Primrose Hospice fundraiser, said: “We look forward to Santa Fun Run every year as it puts everyone in the festive mood.

“This year will be no different because, even if we have to all do it separately, you can still don a Santa suit, a pair of antlers or elf ears and take part.

“You can do anything from running a 10k route or going on a 5k family stroll – the dog can even get involved.

“As well as having a lot of festive fun you’ll also be ensuring that people with life-limiting conditions and their families receive the care and support they need.”

Participants will all receive a medal on completion.

Children aged under 10 will also receive a goodie bag and a letter from Father Christmas.

Michelle Varney and Vicki Barry, funeral directors from Co-operative Funeralcare, sponsors of the event, added: “We hope lots of people get involved, have a little fun and raise a lot of money after such a difficult year.”
