THE PLIGHT of the people of Yemen will be the subject of a presentation organised by the Bromsgrove Justice and Peace Group.
‘What’s Happening in Yemen’ will be delivered by Abdullah and Sarah who have both worked and lived there and have first-hand experience of the crisis.
Yemen is a country at the southern tip of the Arabian peninsula, bordered by Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Over the last five years, it has been subject to bombing by Saudi-led forces and is in the midst of a humanitarian crisis.
The United Nations estimate 24.1million people – 80 per cent of the population – are in need of humanitarian aid and protection.
The talk will take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday, March 10, at St Peter’s Community Centre, Rock Hill.
