Weather warning issued for Bromsgrove, Rubery and Birmingham

Bromsgrove Editorial 8th Aug, 2019 Updated: 8th Aug, 2019   0

A WEATHER warning has been issued for heavy rain across Bromsgrove, Rubery and Birmingham for the rest of tonight and tomorrow.

According to the Met Office – which has issued the yellow warning – heavy rain is expected to start in theĀ  next couple of hours and continue relentlessly into tomorrow’s rush hour.

A yellow warning means people should be aware and the rain is predicted to bring with it blustery conditions.

As temperatures head into the 20s in the afternoon, there could also be thunderstorms.

Flash flooding is also likely so people are being urged to take care when they are travelling and allow extra time for journeys as some disruption could be caused to road and rail.

The rain is expected to continue into Saturday morning.
