VISITORS to Avoncroft Museum this weekend will be able to enjoy a Medieval New Year.
The event used to be celebrated on March 25 which marked both the beginning of spring and the feast of the annunciation, a religious holiday centred on Angel Gabriel bringing news to Mary.
Members of The War of the Roses Federation will be hosting their traditional celebrations at the venue when they set up their living history camps.
There will also be a programme of show-and-tell demonstrations and traditional craft displays in the New Guesten Hall over the weekend.
