Victims from the flooding earlier this year can attend helpful information soon

FLOODING victims in Hollywood can go along to an information session in the village soon.

Residents can drop-in any time between 1pm and 7pm on October 2 at Hollywood Golf Club to find out progress on the investigation into the flooding.

The flooding impacted on almost 300 properties following the deluge in May when 13cm of rain fell in just two hours.

Villagers can help the investigation team by providing any relevant information and get advice if they still have any insurance or other problems.

Coun Tony Miller, Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet member with responsibility for the environment, said: “The effects of the Hollywood floods are still being felt by residents even now and it’s important we all continue to work with them in any way we can to help them recover and look to the future.”

The National Flood Forum had been a great support to all affected and was returning to provide further advice.

Representatives from Worcestershire County Council’s Flood Risk and Highway Drainage Team, the North Worcestershire Water Management Team and Severn Trent Water Ltd will also be on hand.
