EMERGENCY services and highways officers were kept overnight and this morning as several areas of Worcestershire became flooded.
Among the roads closed are Ravenhayes Road in Frankley and Houndsfield Lane Ford in Wythall which remains shut after a vehicle became stranded in floodwater yesterday.
Shell Ford in Droitwich is also shut after a similar incident yesterday during almost two days of rain.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s water rescue teams attended and rescued the driver.
HWFRS Station Commander John Laight who was out with crews rescuing people and vehicles stuck in floodwater issued a warning to drivers.
“Do not try to drive through deep flowing water!
“There is always another way to get to your destination.”
