Traditional Wassail to be held at the Balaam's Wood orchard in Frankley

Bromsgrove Editorial 9th Jan, 2019 Updated: 9th Jan, 2019   0

THERE will be a traditional Wassail at Balaam’s Wood Orchard in Frankley on Saturday.

The event, which starts at 1pm at the area on Arden Road, will see the trees blessed in a bid to give the community a good fruit crop in the year ahead.

People should take along something to bang and there will be singing and dance from the Appalachian group Step On Board.

Prior to the Wassail there will be workshops at midday where people can make an ivy crown or a shaker to ward off the evil spirits.
