TONIGHT’S episode of DIY SOS will feature a Bromsgrove woman who had an extension built on her home to be closer to her little sister.

Johanna Lane and partner Will Arnold invited sister Karis, who has cerebral palsy and needs a full-time carer, to move in with them last summer.

At the time, neighbours, family members and friends gathered around to witness the big reveal which will be shown when the show airs at 8pm on BBC1.

Johanna said: “I had the most amazing time being part of DIY SOS and met some incredible people.

“I made lots of new friends and I can’t wait to make wonderful memories with my sister.

“Thanks to everyone who helped and supported us through this journey.

“The house is amazing and it will change our lives so much.”

Sister Karis was extremely excited after seeing the new features inside the home.

She said: “I’ve got a lot to say but I don’t want to spoil it for people who are going to watch it.

“All I can say is – that’s not my sister’s house.

“It’s something you have to see to believe.

“Thanks so much to DIYSOS and the people of Bromsgrove – we love you.”
