VOLUNTARY organisations and local businesses in Bromsgrove have joined forces to make this Christmas one to remember.
Together, with the help of Bromsgrove District Council, they are launching the ‘Great Big Community Christmas Project’ as part of the Children and Young People’s Partnership (CYPP).
It will kick off with Christmas hampers being delivered to the homes of people who need it most on December 14.
They will be packed with dried and tinned goods, vouchers for fresh food and gifts for the children.
The following week, Christmas activity hampers will be distributed to youngsters and on December 19 there will be a ‘virtual Christmas meal’ for those who usually attend a community event or meet up with friends.
Leader of the council, Karen May, said: “This community project is such a lovely way to end the year – by everyone coming together to support each other and ensure this Christmas will be one to remember.”
