THE TIMBERHONGER 10K race, held during Bromsgrove Carnival weekend in July, has raised more than £6,000 for good causes.

And this week, the funds were handed over to the charities – the Basement Project, The Primrose Hospice and Friends of the Princess Of Wales Community Hospital. Each charity was received £2,000 from race director, Mark Graham.

The Timberhonger 10k, together with the Children’s Challenge, sold out in six weeks, gaining over 800 entries.

If you are interested in donating to the Basement Project please contact Jackie Hooper.

Mark said: “It’s a real pleasure to be able to support local charities here in Bromsgrove.

“They do such wonderful work for our community and it’s great we’ve been able to help.”
