A SPATE of vandalism has taken place across Wythall and Hollywood with three homes having windows smashed in as many days, writes Demi Andrews.

The first occurred in Alcester Road, Wythall, between 4pm on Friday and 12.20pm on Sunday. Several windows of that property were smashed.

Also on Saturday at 5pm, a front room window was smashed at a home on Shawhurst Lane, Hollywood. The homeowner was in the property a the time and heard their window alarm sounding in the front room. Two teenagers were spotted running away from the property.

Another window was smashed at a property on Dells Farm park home site, Batemans Lane, Wythall on Sunday. The incident occurred at 3.24pm and two unknown teenagers, one wearing a dark jacket and white tracksuit bottoms, were seen running away following a loud bang.

Also in Wythall, barbed wire was cut through on Saturday between 12pm and 1pm. The damage to the fence which ran along a field along Gorsey Lane, Wythall, led to a number of horses able to get loose and onto the highway.

The police received several calls and later the horses were safely returned to their field unharmed.
