UPDATE – Third dog captured in Bromsgrove on Sunday (October 25) – Full story here.

A SECOND of the four dogs stolen from Scotland on Tuesday has been found in Hanbury.

The terrier was found wandering along a street and, after a woman managed to capture him, she took him to a vet where his microchip was scanned to confirm he was one of the four.

It comes just a day after the first one – a white and brown Jack Russell X Terrier – was discovered wandering around Sanders Park.

He was taken to a Bromsgrove vets where the microchipped was again scanned to confirm he was one of the stolen party.

The pair have been discovered within five miles of each other but 360 miles from home after the theft.

Both the Terriers which have been found were taken from kennels in Forneth, Perthshire, along with a Springer Spaniel which is still missing.

The Jack Russell (pictured bottom left), which is also still missing, was being taken from the Meikelour area of Perthshire.

The dogs were taken around the same time and the two areas are only 15 mins (7.8miles) from Meikelour.

All the dogs taken were microchipped.

There were sightings of the car in the morning which was captured stealing the dog from Meikelour but the vehicle was later found abandoned in a field in the Blairgowrie/Rattray area of Perthshire.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with two incidents of dog theft in the Meikleour and Forneth areas, along with a number of other offences.

He has been kept in custody and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court later today (Thursday).

People in Bromsgrove are being urged to keep an eye out for the other two dogs.
