THE SPECIAL football match to remember Bromsgrove teenager Thomas Jones will take place at Bromsgrove Sporting’s Victoria Ground on Tuesday, October 16.

The game, which kicks off at 7.45pm, will be between Sporting and RAF Senior Representative Team.

Everyone is welcome and all the revenue generated will be donated to Tom’s family.

A spokesperson for the club said: “This is more than just a game – it’s Tom’s memorial game.

“Whether you’re a football fan or not, please come and remember a life cut so tragically short.”

Admission is £5 for adults, £3 concessions, £1 for five to 17-year-olds and free to under fives.

Tom was a massive Oasis fan and the band’s music will be incorporated into the evening.

Jonah’s Ale, created by the Ambridge Brewery to raise funds for the memorial fund-raising page, will also be on sale at the Victoria Ground.

The fund-raising page for memorials at places close to Tom has now raised close to £8,000.

Among them are South Bromsgrove High School, where he attended, Bromsgrove Sporting, as he played for the club’s youth teams, West Bromwich Albion, the team he supported, and Worcester University, where he had started his course just days before his disappearance.
