THE THIRD dog stolen from Scotland has been caught in Bromsgrove meaning there is now just one more – a springer spaniel – to locate.

Harvey, the light brown and white male Jack Russell Terrier Cross, was caught today following numerous sightings in Dodford yesterday.

In a statement on Facebook Harvey’s owners said: “We would like to thank all family, friends and the thousands of people who have joined our search for Harvey.

“I cannot tell you how proud I am of my son, Ally, for all his strength and commitment put into finding our beloved pup.

“From constant contact with the police, interviews with newspaper reporters and regular updates to Missing Pets, Perth and Kinross Scotland and the relentless volunteers in the Bromsgrove area.

“There really are a lot of selfless, wonderful people in this world.

“The power of social media can be a wonderful thing”

“Thanks again to everyone.

“Stay safe and take care.”

Harvey had been taken from Meikelour on Tuesday when four dogs in total were stolen.

One of the dogs – a terrier – was found on Wednesday in Sanders Park and handed into a Bromsgrove vets while a second one – another terrier – was discovered in Hanbury on Thursday.

They have now been reunited with their owners.

The pair were discovered within five miles of each other but 360 miles from home after the theft.

Both the Terriers which have been found were taken from kennels in Forneth, Perthshire, along with a Springer Spaniel which is still missing.

The Jack Russell (pictured bottom left and captured on Sunday, October 25), was taken from the Meikelour area of Perthshire.

The dogs were taken around the same time and the two areas are only 15 mins (7.8miles) from Meikelour.

All the dogs taken were microchipped.

Three safe – one left to find

All attention will now turn to finding the last remaining one – ‘dog M’.

The female English springer spaniel is white with a solid liver coloured head.

It is believed she could be in the district after the previous dogs were discovered in Bromsgrove and Hanbury.

Anyone who sees her should call 07752 101236 or Police Scotland.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with two incidents of dog theft in the Meikleour and Forneth areas, along with a number of other offences.

He has now been released.

People in Bromsgrove are being urged to keep an eye out for the remaining dog.
