Tea party, sponsored walk and car boot sale at Bromsgrove's Blue Cross on Saturday

Bromsgrove Editorial 14th May, 2018   0

ANIMAL lovers are being urged to join the team at Bromsgrove’s Blue Cross for tea and cake, a car boot sale and sponsored dog walk – all to raise funds to help homeless, unwanted and abandoned pets in the process.

The next Time for Tea is at the centre in Wildmoor Lane from 9am to 1pm next Saturday, May 19, coinciding with the royal wedding.

There will also be games and raffles and the first car boot sale of the year takes place from 9am to midday. Pitches are £5 for each car and £10 for vans and cars with trailers. Sellers can set up from 7.30am and the car boot sales will take place every second Saturday after that.

There is also the annual sponsored dog walk. There are two routes on offer – a mile-long one suitable for younger children and those with disabilities and a longer one of 4.5miles for those wanting more of a challenge. Admission to the walk is £5 per person and all dogs taking part receive a certificate, rosette and goody bag.

Neil Edwards, Bromsgrove Blue Cross Centre Manager, said: “All money raised will help the pets in Blue Cross care – every penny really does make a difference.”

Residents are also being asked to organise their own Paws for Tea events for the Blue Cross.
