STOKE Prior Village Hall is hosting a special tabletop sale in aid of the village church’s Parish Fund on August 18.

The event will take place between 2pm and 4pm and will cost adults 50p to enter with children going free.

June Crofts, who has helped organise the event, said: “We hope to have a variety of goods, refreshments and homemade cakes on sale. Please come and join us and if you want to, book yourself a table.”

Tables are £10 each and need to be booked in advance. Call June on 01527 832913 for more information.

The Grade I listed St Michaels and All Angels is a 12th century church, renovated by Salt King John Corbett in the 19th century, has suffered structural damage with the tower falling into a particularly dangerous state.

It began in 2015 and more than £60,000 has already been collected.

The Tower Friends continue tirelessly to raise funds for the repairs.
