Summer Fair at St Leonard's Church to have new theme this year

Bromsgrove Editorial 27th May, 2019   0

THE organisers of the ever successful Summer Fair at St Leonard’s Church in Beoley are creating a new theme for this year’s event and the hundreds of people who regularly support it.

For 2019 the churchyard will be transformed into their very own version of the famous ‘Scatterbrook Farm’ home of home of the eponymous character Worzel Gummidge.

It is expected that there will be scarecows around the grounds and to complement the theme there will be be a scarecrow competition.

This will be open to all comers with the entrants being asked to make a scarecrow or to dress as a scarecrow.

With prizes on offer, contact is being made with local schools but the competition is open to both young and old.

The event is on Saturday, July 6, opening at 1.30pm.

There will also be the usual mix of stalls as well as some new editions and of course the scarecrows.
