Successful south west Birmingham toy appeal boosted further by Sainsbury's Longbridge donation

AN APPEAL for new toys for children in South West Birmingham who may not be getting much this Christmas has been hailed a great success.

The drive, organised by Andy Cartwright, Gemma Cartwright MBE and Pride of Longbridge, Sainsbury’s Longbridge, butcher Tony Geraghty, Paul Rigby MG and Frankley Forum. led to hundreds being donated.

And, in a further boost for the scheme, Sainsbury’s Longbridge donated cash for the cause as well.

Andy said: “With this donation we will be able to purchase edible treats and goodies to help make a difference to many this Christmas in our community.




“We are very thankful for the partnership we have built with Sainsbury’s, Tony Geraghty Butchers and community groups by supporting an working with each other the positive impact we make is amazing.”

The toys will be on their way to ensure the children have something good to open on Christmas morning.
