Stoke Prior Bowling Club raises £100 for during charity tournament

STOKE PRIOR Bowling Club raised £100 for British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research during a charity tournament held on Sunday, writes Natalie Hanson.

Members and visitors took part in two competitions at Stoke Sports and Country Club to help raise the cash.

Don Bunford received the Peter Bridgman Memorial cup for winning a game called ‘Rabbits’ where each bowler aimed to bowl between hoops guarded by swinging rabbits.

The other event was an open singles won by Eric Hall who received the Keith Prescott Memorial cup.

Charlie Wilkes and Eric Youster were the runner-ups for the two events.
