STAFF and students from Meadows First School are celebrating after being awarded the Platinum School Games Mark Award.
The accolade recognises the school’s hard work and commitment to PE, school sport and physical activity.
To achieve the platinum standard, schools have to achieve the gold award for five consecutive years.
The award is part of the School Games Mark, a Government-led awards scheme launched in 2012 which is administered by national charity The Youth Sport Trust.
The Platinum Award was introduced last year as an extension of the School Games Mark to reward schools which had maintained consistently high standards with their school sport provision.
