STAFF and customers at Pets at Home in Bromsgrove and across the country raised have more than £50,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.
The cash was collected through sales of pin badges, ’round to a pound’ and in store fund-raising activities including bake sales during Dementia Action Week.
Staff also worked towards making shopping a more comfortable experience for customers with dementia.
The funds will be used to support the work of Alzheimer’s Society which aims to provide information and support, fund research and campaign for those with dementia across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Store manager Peter Burrell, said: “The team and I in Bromsgrove would like to say a massive thank you to all of our customers for their support with the campaign and their generous donations towards Alzheimer’s Society.”
The charity’s programme partnerships manager Emma Bould added everyone at the Alzheimer’s Society would like to say a huge thank you to the colleagues and customers at Pets at Home for their invaluable donations.
